Biography

Michael Strong, CGP, LEED Green Associate co-founded Brothers Strong, a nationally recognized residential remodeling firm and GreenHaus Builders a LEED for HomesLeadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED for Homes is the residential green building program from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). While this program is primarily designed for and applicable to new home projects, major gut rehabs can qualify. builder.

Michael currently teaches “Green Houses” at Rice University and co-hosts a weekly radio program that reaches over 20,000 listeners.

He built Houston’s 1st LEED Certified home, Texas 1st Gold NGBSNational Green Building Standard Based on the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines and passed through ANSI. This standard can be applied to both new homes, remodeling projects, and additions. Remodel, has served on the H.U.D. Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing program and is a frequent speaker around the country on green building and remodeling issues.

He has an MBA, MA and a BA, speaks German and has traveled to over 50 countries around the world.
