Passive House Conference in New York

The NY14 Passive House conference will focus on large-scale projects, such as apartment buildlings and schools

The Third Annual New York Passive House conference will take place on June 17. Advance ticket sales end on March 31.

The NY14 Passive House Conference & Expo in New York City on June 17, 2014, will feature 18 speakers and more than 30 manufacturers or service providers, organizers said.

The one-day program runs from 8:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 West 18th Street. Tickets purchased before the end of the month cost $125 for general admission ($95 for NYPH members). After March 31, the price goes to $195 ($145 for members). Students get lower rates.

The focus this year will be on large-scale Passivhaus projects — schools, office buildings, stores, and apartment buildings. A list of speakers and topics is posted at the event website.

NY14 Passive House will host pre-conference workshops on June 16. Topics include Passivhaus basics, and design PH for the design and certification of Passivhaus buildings.

Additionally, on June 15 and 16, there’s a course on building a successful design/build firm taught by Adam Cohen of PassivScience.
