Insulating bath and range vent ducts

drrossw | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

Ant thoughts on whether or not, to insulate bath and range vent ducts that are in the conditioned space between a R40 spray foamed roof deck and the uninsulated drywall ceiling? Thanks.

    Ross,
There is no need to insulate these ducts if they are inside the home's conditioned space. Of course, it is important to seal the duct seams to prevent duct leakage.

Good to know. Thank you so much for your quick reply as the drywall is going up today.
