Did you know: "Energy Star" label banned for most reflective insulation?

The EPA banned the "Energy Star" label for most reflective insulation in 2012 -- see the report attached to this post.

Please read this announcement from the EPA. If you have any doubts or questions about the real value of reflective "insulation", this should give you the answer.

Bottom line: Does "reflective insulation" provide any value? Yes. Is "reflective insulation" the best and most cost-effective choice in most cases? No.
