NPR piece on LEED

David,
When I heard the first segment, there was a teaser for the second segment -- something about critics who note that LEED certification doesn't have anything to do with performance. I said to myself, "Here comes Henry Gifford."

There was no new ground broken in the segment, but it's always good to hear Henry.

Apparently under a recent or soon-to-be revision of LEED, building owners will have to report actual energy usage for 5 years in order to maintain certification, if I heard correctly. The USGBC needs to eliminate any possible argument about whether or not LEED buildings use less energy.
