Community and Q&A

I have 4,300 sf of Chicago brick that needs to be power washed and sealed

rickharb | Posted in General Questions on

Which is better: oil-based sealers or water-based? And can I use water-based over oil-based?

I need more information on the care and maintenance of Chicago brick in a climate like Ft. Myers, Florida. The previous owner also used polymeric sand to fill the joints. Is this best or regular sand?

Thank you.

    Rick,
It is best to leave brick unsealed. Does your house have any moisture intrusion problems?
