OSB subfloor and rain during construction, just how much can it take?

mikkelsen | Posted in General Questions on

How many rainy days of rain can OSB subfloor handle before I should upgrade to a product like Advan Tech? It is not a regularly stocked item here and might take two weeks to get it in…and it obviously costs much more. however, I am now in the rainy season as I start this framing project…

    Eric,
Most builders have switched away from ordinary OSB for subfloors. Advantech is worth the upcharge, especially in a rainy climate.

If your frame is going to get a lot of rain, I would look at Advantech subfloor and roof sheathing.
