    I dunno- if your house is normal sized, and your attic has the same volume as the Houston AstroDome you'd be fine during the heating season!

    But would still take an efficiency hit during the cooling season due the solar gain of that huge domed roof. ;-)

    Bottom line, air source heat pumps need access to copious quantities of their source- the outdoor air.
