    Yes. They are the most nearly useless vent baffles on the market. A good baffle must fill the entire space between rafters, maintain at least 1" clear space, and be rigid enough to not crush or deflect under pressure.

    I prefer making my own by nailing spacer strips to both sides of each rafter tight to the sheathing, and installing strips of 3/8" plywood or 1/4" MDF to fill the rafter bays.
