Which is best PEX for new construction?

drpepper | Posted in Green Products and Materials on

If we go with PEX, which is the best one for our plumber to get? Can you recommend one that is BPA-free? And any other things I should note?

Sorry — reposting from my incorrect previous question.
Thank you,

    Karen;
    We have been using Viega PEX for several years now with no problems. The reason we chose Viega over other manufacturers is mainly because of their press fitting system. The Viega system has been used in Germany for over 30 years so they have a good track record. Website is http://Viega.net. PEX is a cross-linked polyethylene and there have not been (as far as I know) any connections made to BPA as they have to other plastics such as polycarbonates. Hope this helps.
