Replacing R410a minisplit: Lineset cleaning, pressure testing, and purging

Should I use a cleaner designed for converting from R22 to R410a linesets to clean a lineset that will only replace a R410a mini split?
I am replacing a 7.5 year old Samsung 1 ton unit with a Fijitsu 1 ton unit. These are both single units. They both require 1/4″ and 3/8″ lines.
I’ve gotten mixed answers from many HVAC professionals on this question. It seems like the wild west here in Wisconsin on mini-splits (and other HVAC subjects).
Also, to be clearer, I will be purging each line with nitrogen, pressure testing to 500 psi with nitrogen, and using a vacuum pump and micron level meter and plan to purge down to at least 150 microns.

I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question. Perhaps a GBA reader will provide an answer.
Needless to say, your work should comply with Wisconsin law. I hope that you are in compliance with the regulations outlined in this document: Wisconsin Refrigerant Recovery Program.
As noted, "Any person who salvages or dismantles refrigeration equipment is required, under Wisconsin Administrative Code NR 488, to obtain annual DNR registration."
More information is provided in a document titled DNR Requirements for Regulated Refrigerants & Salvaging Operations.
That document explains, "Individuals who use refrigerant recovery equipment for salvage must successfully complete an appropriate certification program approved by U.S. EPA, or must be directly supervised by someone who has completed one."
Rest assured, the purging will be done properly.

As I stated before, I don't know the answer to your question.
Perhaps you've already called Fujitsu, but if you haven't yet, you should call up their technical help line and speak to a specialist there.
