What makes this product green?

  • Reduces heating and cooling loads

AGC Flat Glass North America manufactures low-eLow-emissivity coating. Very thin metallic coating on glass or plastic window glazing that permits most of the sun’s short-wave (light) radiation to enter, while blocking up to 90% of the long-wave (heat) radiation. Low-e coatings boost a window’s R-value and reduce its U-factor. hard coat (pyrolytic) glass, which is used in several brands of low-e exterior storm windows. Low-e storm windows can move the thermal performance of existing windows close to that of high performance double-glazed windows. GreenSpec has contributed to more research on interior and exterior low-e panels at WindowAttachments.org.
