Be sensitive to significant historic sites
History has value.
Areas with significant historic or prehistoric value should be left intact for future scientific research or public enjoyment. When developing a building lot, keep buildings and excavations as far as possible from areas known to have historic value. However, an archaeological assessment is expensive, and the discovery of an important archeological feature can prevent development from proceeding.
