Create an irrigation pond
A man-made pond can make irrigation more convenient.
If no natural pond exists, consider making one, if permitted by local land use regulations. In addition to its practical value, a pond makes an attractive landscape feature. One downside: Unless the pond is higher than the area to be irrigated, a pump will be required.
