Enforce a no-smoking policy
Hazards of tobacco are well known
Smoking indoors releases carcinogenic pollutants and other contaminants, and lots of people just plain don't like the smell. The risk of fire is another consideration on a building site where sawdust and wood scraps are everywhere. Subcontractors should be warned that smoking inside is not permitted. Instead, designate an outdoor smoking area or ban smoking completely.
