Follow label precautions when using potentially harmful products
Make sure the work site is well ventilated
Some finishes and adhesives give off harmful volatile organic compounds. Work areas should be well ventilated when the products are applied and as they cure. Finishing cabinets and trim before they're brought onto the job site lessens exposure for homeowners and workers. In some instances, pre-finished materials, such as flooring, can be used to reduce exposure.
