Include plumbing access panels
Make eventual plumbing repairs easier by providing access.
Access doors or removable panels in bathrooms, laundry rooms and possibly the kitchen will simplify the inspection of valves and other plumbing parts that may need to be repaired or replaced in time. Plumbing manifolds and shower valves are especially good candidates for access panels. Make sure that doors that penetrate the air barrierBuilding assembly components that work as a system to restrict air flow through the building envelope. Air barriers may or may not act as a vapor barrier. The air barrier can be on the exterior, the interior of the assembly, or both. are tightly sealed to prevent the movement of air and moisture into exterior wall cavities.
