To determine whether certain construction materials warrant careful removal, it helps to know what’s locally marketable.
Unique markets may exist for certain salvaged items, so don’t limit your search to building materials vendors only. Unfortunately, salvaged building materials markets and retail centers, while growing, are not widely available in the US.

LEED for HomesLeadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED for Homes is the residential green building program from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). While this program is primarily designed for and applicable to new home projects, major gut rehabs can qualify.
