Remove invasive plants
Getting rid of invasive, non-native plants will encourage a more natural ecosystem.
Invasive plant species can be removed in various ways, including burning, hand pulling, carefully targeted chemical treatment, application of host-specific insects, and even targeted grazing by goats. It can take years, mainly because many invasive plants are quite hardy and persistent. A local county extension office can offer advice.
