Use salvaged brick
Brick often can be used more than once.
Used brick is typically taken to a landfill even though it may be reusable. Bricks vary significantly in their composition and quality; carefully assess salvaged brick and use it only where appropriate. Be especially careful when placing bricks on or below grade where there is the potential for freezing.
