Use salvaged plumbing fixtures

Using salvaged materials lessens the burden on local landfills.
Using old plumbing fixtures also means fewer new goods must be manufactured, packaged, and transported. Old tubs and sinks lend architectural charm. Older toilets that use a lot of water, however, should not be reused. Here, the benefits of water conservation outweigh the advantages of recycling.
