Use a waste hauler who separates recyclables
When on-site sorting won't work, ask the hauler to do it.
When separating construction waste at the site isn't practical, look for a waste disposal company that's willing to do it. If unsorted waste is to be separated off-site, most haulers want all of it. If high-value recyclables (like copper, for instance) are cherry-picked before the waste leaves the site, the whole load may be dumped. Separating recyclable materials is most cost-effective where tipping fees for waste are highest, typically in the eastern U.S. and near metropolitan areas.
