Vent kitchen range hoods outside
Cooking odors, grease and combustion fumes belong outside.
For good indoor-air quality, install a range hood and vent it to the outside. Fans that recirculate air through a filter--like those in some microwave ovens--are not as effective. The capacity of many range-hood fans are overstated because ratings depend on ideal conditions. Fans like those used for radonColorless, odorless, short-lived radioactive gas that can seep into homes and result in lung cancer risk. Radon and its decay products emit cancer-causing alpha, beta, and gamma particles. mitigation are powerful, efficient, and quiet and are available for use as a kitchen exhaust. Ducts to the outside should be as short and straight as possible.
