ThermalBuck and Window Rough Opening

T. Barker | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

If you use ThermalBuck, do you need to make the window rough opening size an ADDITIONAL 1/2″ bigger on every side (in addition to the normal 3/8″ or 1/2″ allowance on every side for shimming and squaring). Or does ThermalBuck assume you’re going to have a fairly tight fit to the foam when you stick the window into it?

Is there a good way to insulate a sky light similar to Thermalbuck?
