Adhesives for Exterior Rigid Foam on Roof

We are planning to install 8″ of rigid foam on the exterior of our cathedral roof under metal roof cladding.  A Firestone rep recommended their adhesive system as opposed to mechanical fasteners to avoid the problems of finding rafters with long screws. Has anyone used Firestone adhesives? Are there any disadvantages or warnings?
