Hi Susan,
Most of our article are posted directly to the site, so I am not sure what you are asking. There is no download button for those article.
The only articles that you should need to download (actually just open) to read are Fine Homebuilding articles that have been posted as PDFs, like this one:
https://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/article/air-sealed-mudsill-assembly
After the article description there is a link that looks like this:
Air-sealed Mudsill Assembly.pdf
Use the link to open the PDF.
If you are asking about details from our Detail Library, there is a box on the right side of the page that says "Drawing Detail." at the bottom of the box there are two download buttons. You can choose to download the drawings as a PDF or DWG file.
