Best way to seal conduits/wire chase from attic to basement

I need to cap off a conduit/wire chase that runs from an unconditioned attic to the basement. I’m probably overthinking this, but I want to do this correctly since my attic doesn’t have blown in insulation yet and once it does, walking around up there is way harder.
Just duct tape it off?

kickstarter,
Use electrical conduit seal putty. Most hardware stores should stock it.
Thanks. Can this be used to seal the inside of an empty conduit? I'd be worried it will jam it up making running future cables difficult.
Kickstarter,
It's what electricians use to seal conduits whether with wires in them or for future use. I usually run one up from the panel into the attic to make a possible solar install easier. The putty cap stays soft and is easy to take off.
Great. Thanks. I'm glad I asked the question!
Run the conduit so it pokes up above the planned level of insulation by several inches.
Seal end of conduit.
As for material to use, the conduit seal putty is often used to seal between a box and a fitting, etc. If your conduit it too large for this stuff, you can also try putting a cap on the conduit and then sealing the cap with the putty, so that the cap can easily be removed.
Sometimes putty pads are also used in the same way.
