Broan Overture Automated Fresh Air Indoor Monitors

rockies63 | Posted in General Questions on

I saw this product featured in a Youtube video from Corbett Lunsford’s Home Performance. It automatically monitors indoor air quality and adjusts your homes ventilation systems to help filter out pollutants.

Has anyone used this system yet?

I haven't use this, but started reading into it. Looks like it turns bath fans or other ventilation equipment smart. The room sensor and wall switch have different IAQ monitors in them, and the wall switch and smart plug can control attached equipment.

The only downside I see is that it looks like straight on/off for the wall switch since it controls power to the unit. The Smart wall plug has 24v control, so it could be used to trigger a "boost" on equipment that supports that.

They plugs are pretty pricey, but I guess that comes with the territory. I was actually looking for something similar recently, and will look into how I can tie this into my ERV plans.

Looks like a way to sort of awkwardly retrofit a cruder version of CERV2-like functionality to existing systems.
