Build up Hardie Trim take 2

elenan2 | Posted in General Questions on
I saw a video where two pieces of pvc were laminated together to give the head trim a a greater reveal.  Is this or can this be done with Hardie?

Are there potential issues with adding a filler board?  We won’t have a rainscreen.

Feedback is greatly appreciated!

I attached the document or perhaps stripping off the ".pdf" will work for you. I'm not having a problem with the link on a PC or an ipad. I'm hoping we will start repair work next week, and I'm trying to finalize decisions about window and trim installation without know what the heck I'm doing. I'm struggling and really appreciate the help.

        elenan2,

Adding filler is fine. Just make sure it is thin enough it isn't revealed where it butts against the siding.

Thanks for all your help Malcolm. I'm hoping the repairs will be done within the next few weeks.

Just need to strip off the filename suffix after *.pdf that was added to the URL for some reason.
