Condensation on 9-lite Home Depot door

ScottSommers | Posted in General Questions on

Hello Green Building Advisor Group,

I installed an insulated 9-lite metal door from Home Depot in December (I’m located Roanoke, VA). I have been trying to figure out what I’ve done wrong due to the amount of condensation forming on the threshold and window. I keep adjusting the threshold strip up and down and put in this white door sweep to no avail.

Furthermore, these double hung windows keep shooting cold exterior air inside and I was wondering what to do (if anything) about this problem as well? I’m not very knowledgeable about pile weatherstripping or DIY but I’m trying to learn on my own so any guidance is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Scott,

On the door, is there a nearby HVAC supply that blows directly on it?
