Seems clear that most frown on running heating and or cooling ducts in un-conditioned attic space, but what about “simple” ERV/HRV ducting?  Assumes, of course, that they’d be surrounded by plenty of insulation.

I realize that this may be “sub-optimal.”  Looking at various options for a new build and know I’m going to have to make compromises.
