Exterior Foam Board and Dimple Mat

I’m working on a new house foundation with a partial basement. For the basement I’m going to use damp proofing with 2” of foam board insulation and a dimple mat over the foam.
Has anyone seen a good way to attach the dimple membrane to the foam?
I recognize that the soil pressure will hold it up once backfilled. But I’m concerned that the dimple mat will pull down during backfilled. Typically the dimple mat is nailed to the green concrete foundation.
