Fluid applied failures

I’ve heard from a few different people over the last couple months mention that there is concern/evidence over fluid applied flashing failures.  After a quick Google search I couldn’t find anything but was wondering if anyone else has heard this or can point me to an article on this?
And is this from improper installation or a defective product?
