Garage roof ventilation

nlbailey | Posted in General Questions on

Question about roof ventilation for a garage with house partially above it. For the 10′ gable at the front, ridge ventilation could be added but not the back 16′ as the roof ends at the side of the house. I don’t believe this would be sufficient.

Would it be best to instead do gable vents at the front / back with no soffit ventilation or is there another way to do “ridge” ventilation near the headwall?

Attachment shows the roof layout.

    nlbailey,

There are a number of proprietary vents for roofs that terminate against walls. Here is an example: http://www.roof-2-wall.com/
