Is there an article or legend/key that explains the difference between Expert Exchange Q&A, GBA Pro Help, and General Questions?

I’d like to post a humidity, but want to put it in the most appropriate section.

I have no idea why there is a choice. All questions end up in the same Q&A on the front page. Maybe the different categories are a vestige of an earlier format?

Modors,
The categories are meaningless. They are a vestige of a computer programmer's idea, years ago, and everyone -- including editors and all users -- ignores them.
