Heat pump decisions for pretty good house! Mitsubishi, Samsung, Blue Ridge

Pachikachu | Posted in Mechanicals on

Hello! First time poster, long time reader!
As the title states I am curious on people’s thoughts on a few different heat pumps.
I have self-built a 1680sqft all electric pretty good house (r40 walls,0.9ach50 in Whitefield Maine, and it’s time for me to decide brand of heat pumps.
These will be 1:1 systems sized at around 12k btu and 9k btu for the upstairs and downstairs respectively.
Samsung are at around 8500$ installed.
Mitsubishis 10000$
Blue ridge (rebadged gree sapphire) around 7k installed.
It’s been a miserable experience trying to find contractors who do manual J’s. So, I did my own heat load calc which came to 12k btu total heat for the house. The first company wanted to put in 15k but and 12k btu which is quite oversized even though they’re inverter type.
Anyways Basically my concerns in order are, reliability, efficiency, dehumidification, availability, software compatibility (house will be smart running locally on home assistant)
If anyone has any advice on anything here it’s very much appreciated!
