Elk M1 Gold, with all of the contact sensors and smoke alarms hard wired. Don’t do anything over WiFi except for being able to control the main panel. Every camera you transmit over wife clogs your bandwidth. Preferably you would have them all PoE wired to a dedicated NVR.

I recently switched to a green security system myself, opting for Arlo’s solar-powered cameras after having a disappointing experience with a traditional wired system (you can see some relatable experiences here https://slomins.pissedconsumer.com/review.html ). Honestly, it's been fantastic, no more worrying about battery replacements or excessive power use. The smart integration with my Google Nest thermostat saves energy by automatically adjusting settings when I'm away, something I appreciate every time I get my monthly electric bill.
