How long can a new mound system go unused?

Emel | Posted in General Questions on

We are working towards getting a home built on our land, but it is taking much longer than expected. In the meantime, we have considered adding essential items to the land as we wait and moving a camper out there for the interim. My question is, if we paid to have a mound system installed (it’s what we perk for), how long can this system go unused? Is it a problem if it’s used irregularly? Also, does anyone have recommendations for installing it but having a way to temporarily connect it or use it for the camper?

Thank you!
Erin

I'm not an expert on the subject but I don't see why you would have to use it for it to remain usable. Just keep the surface mowed at least once or twice a year so woody perennials don't get established.
