I think I remember seeing someone selling an HRV unit that had the core and the box but no fans, so you can use it with your own fan setup.  But I can’t find that anymore.  Anyone know of one like that that is available now, or remember seeing one in the past?    I can find cores sold alone, or complete units with fans, box, and core, but not with a box and no fans. 

I’m thinking about a DIY dehumidifier project, using a heat exchanger for pre-cooling to making it more efficient, as is done by Thermastor on their high-performance models.

If I can’t find one with no fans, I’ll probably get one with low performance fans with the hope to upgrade to a high-performance fan in the future, after proving that it works.
