I’m trying to figure out the R-values and specs of these windows

AlanB4 | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

They have been here for the better part of a decade, they are in excellent condition (if dirty) and I have no plans to replace them, but i am curious about any information on their performance.

    Alan,
Here is the contact information for the manufacturer:

    Seymour Windows Ltd.
    1781 Seymour Street
    North Bay, Ontario P1B 8G4
    Canada
    Phone: 705-474-9000
    http://www.seymourwindows.ca

If I were you, I would call up the company. Describe the windows are share the information (the numbers) on the label you photographed. Ask them about what type of glazing they installed when these windows were manufactured. Ask if their windows have NFRC ratings.

If you know a window's U-factor (usually provided on an NFRC label when the window is new), you can calculate its R-value. (R=1/U)

For more information on glazing specs, see: All About Glazing Options.
