I can’t find any documentation on whether the search function has any advanced capabilities such as logical directives AND, OR, and NOT.  I’ve also tried enclosing search terms in double quotes, but it appears the quotes are simply ignored (e.g., “transfer switch” returns an article on roasting a turkey).  It would be very helpful if this capability could be added so one doesn’t have to scroll through hundreds of “matches” that aren’t all that relevant.

Likewise, I can’t make heads or tails of the order in which search results are returned.  It would be very helpful if one could sort the results by relevance or date (or even specify how many matches to return).

Any chance Taunton could address these shortcomings (which also exist on the Fine Homebuilding site)?
