Indoor / outdoor weather station

Trevor_Lambert | Posted in Mechanicals on

Can anyone recommend a wireless weather station capable of displaying both indoor and outdoor dew point? There are tons of these things out there, most of which are pretty poor quality. Seems like outdoor dew point is a common feature, indoor dew point less so.

I’ve had LaCrosse units in the past, and while I liked their atomic synced clock, I found the weather station user interface very clunky.

Just noticed this unanswered question. Ambient Weather makes many models that will do what you want. They get better reviews than the competition and are reasonably priced. I am using the WS-2902 as a weather station, but it also shows the indoor dew point. If you don't need wind speed/direction, rainfall, and solar radiation, the WS-0265 can be used with WH31B sensors. I monitor every room in my house that way. Both units will easily connect to the internet for sharing on multiple platforms. Here is a link to my unit. The indoor dew point is hidden for privacy, but is visible on your own dashboard.

I ended up getting a 5 channel Misol unit, which looks like a re-badged or cloned version of the WS-3000-X5. No internet connectivity, but for how much it cost I'm satisfied.
