Installer for spray foam insulation, Eastern MA / greater Boston area

NE_skier | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

I’m looking for a reputable installer for spray foam insulation (closed cell foam) in the Eastern Mass / greater Boston area.

More specifically, I had foam installed in my attic last summer (August 2015) and I suspect something went wrong with the job.

I’m looking for reputable installer to take a look at my attic and provide a 2nd opinion on the issues I’m seeing (*). Can anyone recommend someone?

(*) A year after there’s still a mild to moderate smell of insulation in the attic, depending on how much the attic HVAC system has been running that day or week. Sometimes the smell is noticeable in the living space, like when running the attic system for the fist time after a few days. But even when we don’t specifically notice the smell, I still know that those chemicals are outgassing into the living space.
In addition to the smell, the fire retarding paint is crumbling off in a few places and there’s one spot where the insulation has contracted away from the rafter, leaving a 1/4 to 1/2″ gap.

Again, if anyone can recommend someone to take a look at this I’d appreciate it!
