Insulate Ducts or Not?

I read the article on bringing the AC ducts within the conditioned space and found it interesting. One question I have that is not addressed, if the equipment and ductwork is now within the conditioned space, do the ducts need to be insulated? Is there code that addresses this?

    Yes. 2009 IRC calls for R6 in the conditioned space and R8 in the unconditioned space.
