Is a new AeroTherm HPWH version coming out?

lets_research | Posted in General Questions on
We’re going to be putting in a HPWH and the bid we’re leaning toward is for a Bradford White AeroTherm RE2H65T10.

The spec sheet we were given for the RE2H65T10 says “Operation—Operating sound level of approximately 55 DBA.”, but online I saw that Bradford White was quoting a sound level of 50 dBA in Feburary: https://mechanical-hub.com/ahr-snapshots-bradford-white-aerotherm-heat-pump-water-heater/

I also see that in that link it lists both “Hybrid Standard” and “Hybrid Plus” operating modes whereas the RE2H65T10 appears to only have “Hybrid”.

Does anybody know where these differences are coming from? Is there a new version of the AeroTherm coming out in the future? If so is there an ETA?

From what the company giving us the bid said it sounds like the new “Bradford White Connect” app coming out in the next month or so will be compatible with the RE2H65T10 so there won’t be any problems there.

The manufacturer's website lists heat pump only and hybrid as the modes (along with electric only). That's fairly standard.
