Location of floor hvac register

LaciB | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

Hi,
New construction- just realized one of my floor registers is directly under the under counter built in oven cabinet/in its toe kick. This seems unwise to me. AC in summer is funneled under warm oven. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks
Andy

Can you move it or is it installed already?

It should work okay if it has a moderate amount of throw to get the cool air away from the front face of the oven.

The main thing to make sure of is that there is a real duct leading to the register. See this article: https://www.energyvanguard.com/blog/72958/The-Case-of-the-Duct-That-Wasn-t-There
