Seeking Building Science / HVAC Expert

ironpinecapital | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

I am doing a walkthrough of a 100,000 sf building in Detroit tomorrow and would love to find someone with a background in building science or HVAC to join. We can pay, but I would like to emphasize that this could lead a longstanding working relationship. Our primary concerns are: mice/roaches, the roof leak, and ideas for introducing solar/CHP/heat pumps into the system that currently runs off a gas boiler feeding steam radiators. Thanks!

Are you a commerical entity or a nonprofit? I've donated my time in the past to some nonprofits in the area that are looking into rehabbing some of the old buildings. Most of my commerical work is with critical facilities (datacenters, sometimes hospitals, etc.). If you want to post some spam resistant contact info I could give you a call.

Hi Bill, I apologize for the delay...I thought I had an alert set on replies but i was wrong. Anyways, we are a new commercial entity aimed at purchasing and retrofitting commercial buildings to NZ standards. My partner has a traditional construction/development background, and I'm fresh from Stanford with a master's degree in energy and the built environment and we're both starry eyed about moving the industry forward in the Michigan area. Feel free to email me at Tim at 20Terra dot com. I am always looking to connect with others who share my passion for better, energy efficient buildings. Thanks! Tim
