From someone who's not a pro, I'll just say that I enjoyed looking at these. I've bookmarked all of Greg La V's blog posts on this subject, but the videos made the concepts easier to visualize.

2x8s are spendy, and the wall looks a lot more complex than a double 2x4 wall. Sorry, but I don't see any real advantages. I only saw Part 1 and part of Part 2, so maybe I missed a bunch.
