Anyone have any experience with the nylon rain screen siding clips? Want to use for horizontal 1×6 shiplap siding application over Zip R12 sheathing.

The problem I see is that the clips are either shown attached through to the studs, or in another illustration into 3/4" plywood. I'd confirm with Nova you can use Zip-R as a substrate.
The system gives you an open-cladding, with all the benefits and disadvantages that come with them.
