Perfect wall WRB – housewrap vs peel & stick

mikeysp | Posted in General Questions on

I am in zone 4a and have acquired a boatload of polyiso and typar houswrap; so, I thought the perfect wall idea would be a good idea for my house build.

However, the two examples of the perfect wall I saw in Matt Risinger videos consisted of peel and stick housewrap. Can I get good results using OSB with taped seams and typar housewrap instead?

Thank you.

-Mike

Yes. Just be diligent about the taping and sealing. If it is going to also be your air barrier, read the articles here about detailing it.

Don't rely on diligence- actually test the airtightness.
